Domed Blank Verse

I wished to slumber beneath your domes,
Picking cloves with flawless grace.
Now, each lightning flash that roams,
Recalls your gentle pure innocence.

Yet, unaltered, this sadness prevails,
Forever it resides within me.
I shall not tread your dwelling's trails,
And caution will guide my steps, you see.
